New video of Istanbul New Airport released

A new promotional animated 3D video has been released, revealing the array of features and services that will be available after the Istanbul New Airport opens on October 29, this year.  When all phases are completed, the facility will be capable of handling 200m ppa.

The video depicts how smart technology will shape the passenger experience, supported by the cultural heritage of Istanbul.  It also emphasises the spaciousness of the buildings, and the array of shopping and food and beverage offers that will be available – many of which will offer mobile pre-order services to reducing waiting time.  The short film also highlights the passenger guide robots that will be deployed in the terminal, and the “Where is my car?” application which will help travelers navigate the vast car parks.

Istanbul New Airport will host flights to more than 350 destinations.  It will include 143 airbridges, 13 islands of check-in counters with 468 desks, 114 self-service kiosks, 228 passport control booths and ePassport gates, and 51 bag drop units.
